How Can Individual Animal Data Save you Time?

We have extensively covered how to collect individual animal data, done a deep dive on what is individual animal data and even addressed some of the top problems when looking to collect this data, but todays post looks at how can this data be leveraged to make compliance easier.

We have many clients that are EU and or organic certified. This allows them to sell into a broader market, attract higher premiums and create stronger relationships with their buyers. However, it inevitably means an extra amount of paper work, compliance and audits. With these markets there is a mixture of annual audit procedures as well as additional paperwork when sending cattle and filling out health declarations and eNVDs.

For many this means going through paddock records, searching through individual animal data and checking health and treatment records- often this is across multiple properties and businesses. It was discussing this pain point with one particular client that prompted us to design an individual animal lifetime view. This view allows the user to select an animal, either from the dashboard list builder or from the search feature to look up an EID, then view the entirety of the data stored against that animal which includes: paddock records, weights, ages and treatments as well as much more!

This view of the data takes hours of processing data from multiple sources down to a simple step in less than three clicks!

EU and Organic compliance isn’t the only use. We have customers using it for identifying sires from top performers, for double checking data and for getting a quick snapshot of visual ID.
